We’re slowly but surely returning to what is now being called the ‘New Normal’ and we’ve been adapting our services throughout the outbreak in order to keep our employees and customers safe.
We’ve always offered remote clearance services for clients who don’t live locally to their property or perhaps don’t want to be there whilst we clear, so to become contactless and maintain social distancing rules, hasn’t been a huge change to our usual practices.
We thought that we’d let you know of the ways in which we’re keeping everyone safe and adhering to the rules.
Remote Clearance Services
We regularly deal with customers who can’t be, or don’t want to be at the property that you need us to clear. This is absolutely no problem and there are a number of ways in which you can give us access to the property.
Recorded Delivery
You can post the keys to us using recorded delivery. When we receive the keys, we will have already had a discussion with you which of our clearance service you require, for example full property, single room, garden, outhouses, garages, loft, single item. No job is too big or too small and we can accommodate your exact needs. We’ll email you pictures of the work carried out and send your keys back using recorded delivery.
Customer is Present at Property
Some customers may actually live in the property or just want to be there whilst we carry out our work. This is absolutely fine as it’s nothing out of the ordinary for us, all that we need to do is maintain a safe distance at all times. Simply open the property then you can wait in your car, in a room that we’ve cleared or a room that we don’t need to enter, or a safe distance outside whilst we carry out the work. You can then inspect everything before we leave.
Leave the Keys at a Collection Point
If you don’t want to post the keys or be present, you can leave the keys somewhere for us to collect. This could be your estate agent, solicitor or even a trusted neighbour. We’ll email you pictures of the work carried out and return the keys to the place of collection. If your property has a key safe, just give us the code and we’ll carry out the work, email you pictures and return the keys to the safe.
