Bereavement Clearances – we take the stress away from you.
Clearing a house or flat after a loved one has passed away is a very daunting and emotional experience, but we can be trusted to take care of everything for you in a respectful and attentive manner.
Our experienced team will make the process as easy as possible and treat all of the contents with care and discretion.
We offer everything that you would need, so you don’t have to organise multiple contractors. We can remove and clear everything from the home and also the garden, garage, loft and outbuildings if needed.
The first piece of advice that we can offer is a decision that only you can make.
Do you want to be present during the clearance?
Seeing a family home stripped of its possessions can be distressing and if you don’t want to be there, we understand. We can ease the burden and arrange to collect the keys from you and get the job done.
If you live some distance from the property, that is no problem.
We can collect the keys from whoever is dealing with the estate and, following any specific instructions that you have, we’ll take care of everything.
Are there items that you want to keep?
It’s important that you let us know about any belongings that you want to keep. If you can, we recommend that you go through personal belongings and take any sentimental items. If you can’t, we can do this for you and collect together any documents, photographs, jewellery or whatever you ask us to look out for and deliver where you need it to go.
The same goes for furniture. If there are items that you want to keep, just let us know and we can deliver to you or a location of your choice.
Selling or renting the property.
Most of the bereavement clearances that we’ve undertaken have needed a top-to-bottom clean. If you’re planning on selling or renting out the property, then this is a must. Depending on the condition of the home it’s also worth considering a fresh coat of paint and removing or replacing old carpets. We offer cleaning and painting & decorating services.
If the hassle of selling the property seems all too much, then we can help you with that too. From time-to-time we’ll buy the property, and if this seems like an appropriate option for you, just ask.

A lovely garden refresh that we completed at the end of summer! This job was done on behalf of a Landlord in Birmingham who was in need of a new fence. Here we tidied up the garden, trimming it back & clearing away any old bits that were unwanted. We then erected a brand new fence, giving the garden a tidy look, whilst being private and secure.
